A full redesign is expensive and disruptive. Most sites that feel like they need one actually just need a specific, targeted set of fixes.
Outdated content, unclear messaging, missing trust signals, a confusing conversion path — these are all fixable within the existing design and structure, often at a fraction of a full redesign's cost.
A structure that can't support current business needs (no ecommerce capability when you now sell online), a technical foundation that's actively limiting growth, or a brand that's fundamentally repositioned — these usually do require rebuilding, not patching.
Ask specifically: is the problem what the site says and how it's organised, or what it's technically capable of doing? The former is a content and fix problem; the latter is a genuine redesign or rebuild problem.
A full redesign costs significantly more than targeted fixes, and if the underlying problem was never actually about the design, a redesign risks rebuilding around the same undiagnosed issue at far greater expense.
